Land of the Three Fires is a video game developed at Lawrence Technological University through the support of Michigan Humanities Council and in collaboration with Anishinabe advisors. The game is designed for late middle school and early high school students aged between 10 and 14.

In Land of the Three Fires, players learn programming through a story of climate resilience from a series of stories shared by the three fires of the Anishnabe nation: the Ojibwe, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi. peoples

In the game, you play as Misko, an Indigenous child on a journey to find their missing mentor. Throughout their travels, Misko meets tribal members, ancestors, animals, and elements of nature, all of whom teach specific environmental practices through stories and puzzles.

But something dark approaches in the horizon, and Misko must learn to work collaboratively to protect the Anishinabe and the land they steward from the evil forces that afflict it, and rescue their mentor in the process.
